How do we log tickets when we are on slingshot and calling them is an exercise in total frustration?

Today I tried to refresh my twitter mobile, and it just sat there twirling the globe for ages. I grabbed another phone and called my one I was browsing on and it got the call ok, then eventyally it came up link not available and the G disappeared.

The G is what the 2730 shows for any data connection, not just GPRS, I have the phone back on dualmode but it was showing 3g by the signal bars the whole time. Only seems to drop to 2g occasionally when traveling, not when I am at home anyway.

I'm not sure if this is related to the what's detailed in this thread but I've noticed a significant deterioration in my 3G signal with slower speeds, stalled data sessions etc. I usually have to toggle flight mode to get a make my connection work again. In some areas it all works like normal but where I work (near the Christchurch public hospital) it is really poor. It's only been the last few weeks this has been an issue as well, before that it was working wonderfully.

Nice, but I am still waiting for a response from Vodafone AU to my complaint. They apologised on the phone but said there was nothing they could do while they were having network problems. As a result, I have an Aussie SIM card, never used, with a recharge voucher, never used. All up costing me close to NZ$100. I mean, seriously?? They couldn't activate a prepay SIM within 4 days due to network issues?

When I told them I was in Australia to assist my terminally ill mother and needed to be constantly contactable I got, "we are very sorry but we can't help - we currently have major network issues". No mention of those when they took my money though.

A public response is nice but responding to emails would be even better.

Of course, if my Vodafone NZ roaming had been working I wouldn't have needed it anyway. (That issue was resolved, thanks to a nice Vodafone rep here).

I have a smartphone running Android 2.1, I had 2 calls go straight to VM and texts delayed on January the 8th. Phoned 777 immediately and was told that they have never heard of any such problems nor any similar complaints from any other customers and was advised that I should take my phone to the shop as it sounds like a phone defect. I said that I had experienced this problem before and quite frequently and so did my father who has a different branded smartphone but on the VF network. Was still told it was a phone problem customer service.

Obviously the fix isn't working?

Or this is a completely different issue... There are 1billion reasons why the calls went to VM, could be your specific cell, overloading, the angle of the sun or the way the moonlight shines on your eyes on a warm summers night...

Yep... Unless we hear the same thing happening at different cell sites under similar conditions it could be anything really, not related to the previous bug.

The issue in this thread is 100% resolved I have already advised this more than once just cause a incoming call goes to voicemail does not mean its related in any such way. All 1400 plus cells do not go 24/7 taking 100% of calls perfectly things happen from time to time from congestion to planned work.
