Those of you who are using Ihug/Vodafone home broadband...listen up they have issues, Firstly I have a 20gb limit on mine, once it hits that it drops down to dial-up speed for the rest of the month. Now a couple of months ago I noticed around 2 weeks into my month I had used 18gb.....this is impossible I thought so I looked at my daily rate and on one particular day 7gb had been used...this was impossible as we where away that day...I smelt a rat so rang vodafone and they came back to me admitting they are having issues where the data they are putting on the website has issues and apologized resetting me back to 0gb used!!! Last month the same thing happened, I explained to them the PSN was down and NO WAY we would have used that amount (was up to 16gb in 2 weeks) they apologized again and reset the counter....even though in the past 3 days I HAVE been doing lots of downloads I have already reached my 20gb cap, looking back on my daily usage have noticed some big downloads during the times the PSN was down so I have rung Vodafone yet again, they have confirmed they are still having issues and are getting back to me..If I was you check your accounts guys and make sure everything looks above board..... If you check vodafones website there is a message saying "Please note: There is currently a known issue where are systems are potentially reporting you as using more data than you have. We are working on a fix for this issue and can assure you that you will not be detrimentally impacted by this until the fix is in place. In the meantime however please be aware that the information below may not be 100% accurate" this massage is at the top of your daily usage link.....need I say more......

Have a friend who is on Vodafone experience this. On days that NO-ONE was at their flat, they apparently used about 7GB in one day. Admittedly, Vodafone did reset their cap for them also, but that was a good 1 and a bit months ago... and they still haven't fixed it?!? Must check and see if my friend is still experiencing issues.

I've been having the exact opposite issue, my data either isn't counted correctly (20GB shown at 2GB) or when I've used my cap I'm not getting slowed down, I've used 140GB of 30GB apparently. Vodafone NZ never works correctly.... brandonruscoe: when I've used my cap I'm not getting slowed down, I've used 140GB of 30GB apparently. Vodafone NZ never works correctly.... Because of the issue they are currently having i would guess they have stopped slowing people down.

My speed just dropped earlier tonight and wondered what was wrong, checked usage and it says that i've passed by 30gb cap and im now surfing at 64kb/s :S - well yes i am but it's only been about 16 days since my data got reset - really intrigued by this. thats about 2gb of downloads a day? I will have to ask other family members of their usage over the last few days, as I personally have hardly been using the internet from home - but still makes me think that it can't be accurate. I get exactly the same notice as mentioned in the original post... Should vodafone be contacted ? or would this resolve itself ? :s

And the 64 kB/s speed is pathetic... getting download speeds of 1 - 1.5 kB/s.. guess will have to double the data but not without querying it first with them FYI - that notice of usage issue has disappeared now..

Must suck having your internet break thru no fault of your own. I would be demanding a credit due to it failing thru a known fault of their systems that they have not yet resolved. At least if they didn't only offer capped plans it would keep working and you would just have to be disputing a large bill with them. Richard rich.ms

If they know its a problem i'm not sure why they are still slowing people down, if its so wide spread that they posted a noticed on the website then most people reaching their cap will be because of the fault rather than actually using their quota.

I remember Telecom having an issue like this last year. They just left everyone on FS, that's what VF should be doing IMO.

They have had that message on their site for a while now. I remember back in the IHUG days the counter used to go crazy (like 8 GB in a day or something when you werent home andthe PC switched off) and usually a phone call to them would result in them resetting the counter for you - but its been ok for a year or so now. But I did notice around easter (I think thats when they popped up that message about inaccuracies in the counter) that they didnt actually count quite a lot of data. So there were a few days that I downloaded some stuff and the usage showed as zero. I was a bit cautious because I didnt want to go over my cap but I wondered if the downloads would suddenly appear and push me over the edge. Seems time they got it sorted - its been dragging on a bit. Hey folks. That message was from late April early May. The issue was resolved I think on the 12th of May and the message just didn't come down. As of this moment there is no confirmed issue. There has been a jump in reports disputes. If you have particular days where you think your bandwidth is wrong please contact the call centre and go through the troubleshooting with them.

Hi thanks for that, you sound like you may be involved in the company, over the weekend one of the people in the call centre knew nothing about the problem and also knew nothing about the "message" I believe there still is a problem. We are waiting for Vodafone to get back to us. A number of days had VERY high usage....2 of those days we where not at home!! Does anyone know what they are doing with the cap at the moment, my cap is around 200mb away from reaching the 20gb cap half of that 20gb I have not used. One of the other posters above have suggested everyones 20gb cap has been increased to 30gb, can anyone confirm this?
