I have had difficulty sending and receiving any mms in iPhone 4, iOS 4.x. Sometimes they come through.

Just upgraded to ios5, now I can't send or receive any mms, tried others w iPhone 4 (voda), Samsung galaxy (telecom) and iPhone 3G (voda) with no dice.

Can't try sending one to myself because it iMessages it.

Not cool!

My network settings are all the default ones that come up when I reset network settings. Have no issues texting, using 3G or tethering.

Pointers?

Has there been a carrier update for Vodafone that you need to apply? Try plugging in to iTunes and updating to check.

Had the same problem in the office here with a number of users (all Vodafone).
Here's how i fixed it.

Settings.
Reset.
Reset Network Settings.

Sorts out the MMS issue nice and quickly.

Just as an update - pixt's still only work sporadically, generally after a reset.

Someone will text me asking if I got the picture - then I reset the phone and bingo the picture arrives.

Phoned Vodafone they couldnt do anything, they suggested I try Apple.

Havent seen the problem elsewhere, and am not handy to an apple store.

Try turning off iMessage and see whether that helps.
