My data cap reset today and i decided to login at 00:09 to check it,
Surprisingly i found that i had apparently already used 2.48 GB which based on my calculations would require a speed of 37Mbit, which based on the technical limitations of ADSL2+ is not possible. Based on what my modem says i have only got a MaxRate of 22247kbps since the modem was last rebooted.

I was downloading over the month end which based on what i saw was doing an average speed of 1.7MB/s (13.6Mbit) i am concerned that vodafone is over counting data based on this.

Has anyone else found the same thing on Vodafone?

Shown below is a screenshot from 00:15 showing the 2.48GB (unfortunately didn't think to take the screenshot earlier) (time is accurate on my computer syncs from NTP)

And a screenshot from IRC that i commented it in at 00:09

Yes I have seen the exact same thing, It cost me 3 or 4 gb this month - at the end of last month I was no where near cap so I downloaded as fast as I posiabley could from 5pm to midnight and then stopped at midnight. I had used 3 or 4 gb by about 15 past midnight

Happened to me too. If your download session isn't cutoff by midnight, the whole download size will be carried over. I've complained about this to vodafone and they acknowledge it a limitation of their system and couldn't do anything about it. They should have at least stated this in their fineprints.

Now if I download something significantly large, I make sure to turn off my router 5 or 10mins before midnight just to reset the download sessions.

I did turn my router off less then 10 mins before midnight as I had heard the same thing - it did not help
