Hi a bit of back round first. I used to live on Rosier rd in Glen Eden and got 15mbps down and 1.36mbps up, then I moved. At my new house(Oratia,west coast rd) I only get 2mbps down and 0.76mbps up. I'm sure my old house had ADSL2+ and my new one has ADSL. Both houses are on Naked broadband both fixed internet connections, my new house is also in the Final RBI coverage and I have a couple of questions: 1. What does final RBI coverage zone mean? When will I get faster speeds in my area? 2. Will vodafone give me fixed broadband if RBI is enabled? or will it be that stupid low capped wireless broadband with low data caps?(I use 160GB a month normally, so I want fixed broadband which has higher caps and cheaper) 3. Will it be ADSL2+ or even ADSL2? 4.I have no bars in my house right now, does vodafone have plans for new towers in Oratia,west coast rd auckland? Hope JohnR can tell me anything.

What about people who aren't UBI or RBI. My ADSL2 is good but the lack of good upload speed is an issue for remote working. Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat New Zealand as a Solution Architect for all things Linux, Virtual and of course Cloud. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

What upload speed are you getting? 14 Mbit down and about 800 Kbit up.
