Hi, I've been using the 2talk GoFree plan on my iPhone in NZ and it's great, I've saved paying a monthly phone bill and now only buy prepaid data. I'm in Australia for a while and looking for a similar service - has anyone used one they can recommend? Cheers

I used Skype when I was in Sydney for a week few months to ring within Australia and NZ. Subscription was dirt cheap and call quality was clear even over Optus's 3G network. I use MyNetFone and Faktortel for my Australian inbound numbers, never had a problem with either. If you check out the forums on Whirlpool you'll find special deals for both of them.

I work for a Sydney based company from Dunedin and have used MyNetFone for years. $4.99/mo gets me 60 calls to land line numbers in AU/UK/NZ/US and more and after the included 60 untimed calls I pay 10cents untimed for those same countries. They have DID's for many AU places and the main areas of NZ. I do phone support for NZ and AU so have an AU DID and 2 NZ DID's. 1 DID is free and the other 2 cost me $5/yr each. When I dial an NZ number using MNF I have to dial 0011 64 X XXX XXXX.
