Arrrggghhh.......I give up, how manys times do I have to deal with lock-ups on this equipment. I've had enough, they get until the end of the year to sort things out if not then I'm off back to Sky.

Oh dear! I am "Not Subscribed" on one T-Box again. Same one as last time (last week). Another call in to 0508 888800 I guess. This was the only way it was fixed last time - no power cycling made any difference.

That issue was resolved via 0508888800 team, Faults ...... again. Last week, now this week. They had to send through an update. I wonder what next week will bring (if we get to next week without another problem first).

Hi everyone,

As mentioned in an earlier post, we have been putting in many hours to ready and test the T-Box performance update. Testing was successfully concluded last night and a decision was made to immediately issue it to customers.

You can check whether your T-Box is running the new software by going to Menu->Settings->General->System Details. The T-Box should report “2.9.24” for ‘IPG Version’.

If your T-Box did not update, reboot it. It will come up with a message saying that new software is available and asking you to choose ‘OK’ if you want to update it.

well well well.

Updated this afternoon. All seems to be going swimmingly.

Tried out the epg and planner. Fast navigation of menus and guide/s. Very, very, very noticeable improvement. Can't really tell of any other changes. Still waiting for the GUI menu changes so the whole thing makes a little more sense, but hey! this is good!

Gary, can you please let us know the full extent of the 'upgrade'. Patch notes perchance?

So far so good.

Came home. Found T-Box frozen. Recycled power 3 times before came up "Updating". Thought seriously about getting sledge hammer from garage. After 10 minutes still "Please wait ... updating". Went away in disgust. Came back 30 minutes later and went into guide. Hmm. Never seen it go page to page that fast. Checked version 2.9.24. Is that new? Did some more back and forth, up and down in the guide and planner. Definite improvement. Came to Geekzone to post possible good news.

So noticed the significant improvement before being aware of the update. Must be good. Nice to get good news before Xmas.

Thanks Gary!

That is a vast improvement! I've just sat down after rebooting (twice via the power cable pull) and things already look better!Smile

Excellent, the buttons now respond the way they should. Even moving forward 24hrs is virtually instantaneous!

A suggestion TC: use the letters on the keypad to jump to the appropriate recorded programme when they're listed alphabetically.

this morning, not subscribed message again, power cycled again, now its working

funnily enough, i've only had a few problems when i got it early last year, it wasnt until last night there was any major problems

When are we likely to get an update that improves user performance with respect to simple channel changing.  I am sick and tired of putting in a channel number it sitting there in the corner then the screen going black then the number dissapears, then the banner comes up, then the banner dissapears, then the programe or channel selected comes up, such a lot of waiting and a staggered process, on a normal tv, you chnage channell it changes, nothing like this, no powercycling or anything fixes it.

I accepted an update the other day... can you give the details of this.  I see from here it has something to do with performance in the EPG, for whcih there is mild improvment, but i would like to know specifics.

I joined just to say thanks for the much needed update. Love the speed improvements. Hated the lags.
