Guys

I am still having trouble reaching some sites on cable service.

I can get to smg.com.au fine..but once there have issues getting to some of the links on that site..anyone else

eh tech pages etcetc

Its been like this for a while now

Same here. smh.com.au front page opens fine, but then none of the other pages on the site load...

Sounds similar to the reddit problems reported in another thread.

I've also had intermittent trouble of a somewhat similar nature with another site, fxphd.com (ie, some pages will load, then others will simply have a large delay / timeout. Trying from work on another ISP always works fine).

It would help if people finding problems reported in our Faults Page at www.geekzone.co.nz/fault.asp.

It is just another way to get ISPs to notice things are not working - and to name and shame.

Some ISPs keep an eye on the feed. It's also posted in a Twitter account. You never know, name and shame might work. Anything that could make life easier for broadband users should be used, right?

Seems TelstraClear had an issue with DNS over this period, we did a little sniffing and have published our results here;

Same here....the smh.com.au site has been an issue on and off for years with TCL. I am sure they will say its a upstream problem and not their issue.

Surely a competent ISP would monitor their core critical servers/services for things like latency/response time.

Someone has probably dropped the ball here and needs a fire lit under their behind.

Yesterday I got a message from TelstraClear saying things were fixed - as they were during the day.

Alas, again this morning the SMH.com.au will only show the first page, and any other pages won't load.
