Hi all, 

I've got Media Center running on a laptop which is getting on a bit. I just tried to open it and it isn't working with an error message that says 'Cannot be started', anybody else seeing something like this?

I hate to be singing the 'it was fine until the last update' song.

Are you using the latest video drivers? Have you updated the video drivers since the last time it worked?

Open Services and check that Media Center Receiver and Scheduler services are started.

If these are running then you might want to reset the Media Center database. Do it at your own risk though.

Thanks, beats me what was up with that but a reset seems to have sorted things.
