Using Outlook 2003 settings, Windows Mail will connect to smtp.gmail.com and send mail, but no combination of ports (110, 995) or SSL (on, off), is working to get mail from pop.gmail.com

Has anyone else had this issue? A google search reveals no issues for most people.

nevermind.... after about 15 minutes sitting doing nothing, it started working! (and yes, i had tried restarting mail & windows, and i had pressed send/recieve!)

Thats a gmail issue. There is time when the smtp server is down, its still beta lol
