I made a MS Access form saved it as a template and share it with others to use, is this illegal? Cause I keep getting the file removed from Mediafire for violation.  Templates are shared all over the internet.

Anyway I just email them this time to ask why. Just wondering maybe we are not allow to share MS office templates?

Oh the MS Template I made is just a logbook design for the Silent Hunter 5 game.  Open up the form and use it during your patrol to keep a Captains U boat log.  Simple to make and my own work.

Because its only a template, you'd think the person opening it would have to have their Office licensed etc therefore who cares if templates are uploaded everywhere... there might be some clause in the fine print of the Office T&C that says youre not meant to and Mediafire are taking things seriously and to the letter to cover themselves.

Ah okay. So its not illegal that's what I was worried about. I can understand if mediafire are just covering themselves.  Oh well the file is under 1mb so maybe I could just use a email address to share it.

Do you have macro in it or something? As an MDB file can be precompiled as MDA (MDB application) and could potentially be executing system command.

A workaround is share it on SkyDrive or Dropbox, both have public folder.

silly me I download the form from another pc and it brings up an error & warning about it not finding C:\my docs\New folder\. So to the down loader who might be new to access might think this warning is not good and report it to mediafire.

I change the save to C:\ so when they now open it, Access is going to find c:\ and wont state an error. I think. It worked for me.

Anyways thx for the offer xpd might take it up another time. I'm now using SkyDrive for the time being.

This was their reply so I'm guessing some one reported my upload.
