Hi, i have Windows 8 Pro & have set it to lock the screen & display the log-on screen after so many minutes rather than use a screensaver. But every time it activates the lock screen it blanks out the display & i have to either hit a key on the keyboard or move the mouse to be able to view the lock screen.

Now under screen saver settings in the control panel ive set the screensaver to none, ticked the box for on resume, display log-on screen & ive set my amount of time to wait before locking the screen. Also under power management ive set it to never turn off, dim or do anything to the screen.

So does anyone know if it's actually possible to get windows 8 to lock the screen but display the lock screen image without blanking out the display.
