Hi there,

Due to numerous problems with my previous installation of Windows 8 Pro (upgrading from Windows 7 Home) [both 64-bit], I did a clean install (keeping personal files). Everything is set-up as normal, and I have not encountered any of the issues I was experiencing prior.

However when it comes to deleting files and folders I am not asked for a confirmation to delete before they are sent to the Recycle Bin. I was asked for confirmation when I had Windows 8 after the upgrade from Windows 7.

How do I bring this feature back into play?

(I use Start8, so it is a Windows 7 look.)

Recycle bin properties I believe.

I'm amazed so many people are replacing UI elements - no doubt this is being debated fiercely in Microsoft and will be a significant pain for Microsoft and some users somewhere around the first service pack.

Try this,
Right click on Recycle Bin - Properties
There will be an option there to display a prompt before deleting files
