I have just been to Yoobee and they have a 6 working day queue just to troubleshoot the issue. Are there any other places in ChCh that work on Apple products, more specifically Macbook Pros. I noticed there's www.ohno.co.nz - but I have no idea what they're like. This is a late-2007 model so it's definitely out of warranty.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
D.

Hmm... I guess it would've been logical to check the Apple website... also guess I just don't do logic on Fridays...

Thanks.

As a programmer, I've had quite enough of logic by Friday :)

Service Plus is the best available in CHCH, I work in Education and we use them constantly for laptop, iPad and desktop repairs. The only thing they can't work on is iPhones. They also have a very kool online booking system which send you a txt or email at every stage of the process.

We are VERY happy with them.

Thank you for the recommendation - I noticed they do have a higher service fee than Yoobee though.

I've heard about Cyclone in the past... quite a while ago though. What's wrong with Yoobee/Renaissance?

We had issues in the past where machines would sit on their in shelf for 3 weeks waiting to be looked at. Service was slow and they kept cutting staff which made it worse. John Hampton is the service manager at Service Plus, he was the service manager at Magnum Mac until a few years ago. He is a very knowledgable person when it comes to Mac's and has been repairing Macs longer than i can remember.

Hope this helps.
