Ahhh, TradeMe. A brilliant place to search for the hard-to-finds, and also an excellent place to offload what you no longer need.

However, is it me or do really really really dumb people lurk around TradeMe? This isn't TradeMe's fault obviously, but over time I have noticed there seems to be a high concentration of time-wasters or those wanting to pick a fight over the silliest of things.

So, let's share your most 'memorable's stories!  Also a good chance to let off some steam. Of course, please don't put any names / usernames or personal details here. Keep it confidential guys.

This is oven fresh, literally still hot.

Bidder put a bid over the reserve price. This means it's even harder to make a 'mistake bid' as you would have to physically type in bid amount. Auction ends. I receive an e-mail to say he had made a mistake and has no idea how it happened. Lame excuse in my opinion. Gave bidder an appropriate negative feedback. Received negative feedback from the bidder (unsurprisingly). Bidder then proceeds to threaten me with the tax office (wtf?). Then says I am using the iPad to e-mail and so he thinks I never intended to sell it (wtf? Can't people have more than one iPad at a time? Is that the law?).

Well done TradeMe though. Gave them a call and voila, negative feedback removed. Very professional customer service rep on the line too.

I want 3 hours of my life back!
