So its my turn to select somewhere for lunch. Problem is, I don't know Auckland very well so I am wanting some suggestions in the Lower Queen St area. Requirements are; 1. Closer the better 2. Cheapish but decent food 3. Serves more than just seafood (so steak, chicken etc.) Any ideas?! This is a signature.

Waterfront is a good place in the Viaduct for food (chef is a friend/old flatmate). Can't be described as cheap, though. What's "cheapish" anyway? "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads." - Doc Emmet Brown It's-a meee, Mah-rio!

The Depot at SkyCity. Great 'Shared Plates' and Wine on tap. They don't take bookings though. Don't know how cheap you consider 'cheapish'.

THanks guys. I was thinking $20 max, $25 at a stretch. I'll have to try sell it to the guys, and the last few places we've been which have been pretty good were around 16.50 ish for a main. This is a signature.
