I am using eco bulbs for my indoor house lighting but having just read and saw led lamps ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LED_lamp#Lamp_sizes_and_bases

...i want to get some to try

They would just screw into the existing place where my eco bulbs go and not overload anything right?

The Philips New Zealand website says LED lights can be purchased from Countdown but on countdown.co.nz I can not find any. Has anyone seen them sold at Countdown recently?

You can buy them off the shelf at places like JA Russell and Ideal, in standard BC and ES, also avaliable are replacements for Halogen lamps, not to mention lots of other types of LED lighting but needs to be ordered in.
