Well maybe in the 60's and 70's but with modern materials you don't need to look like a complete nut job.

EMF Shielding & Conductive Fabrics.
Quoting a little; Fabrics that feels great against the skin, is hand washable, conductive, and offers exceptionally high RF shielding performance. It is perfect for making microwave shielding pajamas, shirts, hoods, curtains or sheets. Easy to make a ground connection because the surface has high conductivity (<1 Ohm per sq). Made with a unique blend of natural materials: 70% bamboo fiber and 30% Silver. Silver gives Soft&Safe anti-bacterial and anti-odor qualities. Greater than 50 dB attenuation too! Cuts and sews like ordinary cotton fabric. 135g/m. Pale rose color.

Now that's style. They even stock a LIGHT DUTY FARADAY CANOPY for the bed, looks like a bug screen but it a King Size, fabric (100% polyester net-knit with 5% silver-plated copper fiber content) which stops over 80% (16dB) of microwave radiation energy penetration (over at least 200-3000 MHz).

Lol they have some cool stuff there. Nice one!

But they forgot something obvious - a grounding strap to attach to your sneakers.
