Oh dear!
Did you double check the details you supplied to wherever you bought the package from?

It's absolutely critical that they have the NZxxxxxx number on the packaging.
Also, double check that you used the right address in general!

Otherwise I can't really offer anymore advice... good luck - hopefully it'll turn up.

Without skimming through 19 pages, was there an outcome to the battery issue?

"Some electronic items containing lithium-ion batteries can be sent through YouShop. A lithium-ion battery must not exceed 20 Wh/cell, or 100 Wh per battery/pack. Stand alone batteries can not be sent."

Apparantly I can order a cordless drill pack with one battery but not 2 in it. Even if they are just 27Wh batteries, so under the 100 limit.

Site is still vauge as hell.

With the dollar to pound being pretty good I wish they would hurry up with the UK as a source. That would mean no hassles with 110v gear ;)

I successfully ordered a Logitech Radio accessory pack, which does contain batteries, of some sort.  Took a wee while but was all good.

Just ordered some Vibram Fivefingers via youshop. The Vibram site wouldn't accept a NZ billing address, so I had to enter the US Youshop shipping address as the billing adress, I guess we'll see how that works out after US thanksgiving :|

I was about to order a bare hitachi powertool to get around the battery limitation, then nzpost said one under 100Wh is ok, then I saw that amazon would ship the kit to NZ anyway, so once I have paid for the council to waste my money this week I will probably order me a couple of things, shipping looked to be about the same both ways (free and then you shop compared to paying amazon) so will see how it goes.

Looked at them on UK amazon since the charger would be 240v but its just not compeditive compared to US pricing and dealing with only charging in my garage where i have a stepdown.

My first YouShop parcel has just arrived in New Zealand (arrived in their warehouse on the 16th, paid for postage on the 16th and shipped on the 17th). Now to wait the .. 3/4 days for it to get from Auckland to Dunedin.

With Black Friday specials, I am looking at ordering my next parcel to ship to this address, Just concerned that the USA shop uses boxes that are too big with minimal packaging.

So I tried ordering from Newegg using my NZ debit card, but it was a no go - they couldn't verify my address (naturally, as Auckland doesn't fall under the state of Oregon :P)

I guess I could apply for a US travel card but I'm afraid there's no time now, given that most of the Black Friday deals end by Monday; plus there's no guarantee that it'll work on Newegg.

The other option is to use another provider that offers a concierge service - like shipito.com or viaddress.com (although I've heard viaddress no longer provides a concierge option).

Anyone here used the concierge facility of any such sites?

I've never used Newegg until this week and paid for my Black Friday purchase with paypal.
Might be worth trying?

Thanks, but PayPal was the first option I tried, and Newegg refused it after it went thru fine from PayPal (something to the tune of processing error?). Do you have any US addresses in your PayPal account?

This is strange. I just looked at the transaction history and saw that my card has been charged for the item, but it's not been credited back - and on Newegg my order is no longer available (even though they said they'll put it on hold for 5 days).
The name of the transaction is "Visa Hold" - not sure what that means. There have been other transactions on top of that one though, so it's not like my bank statement hasn't refreshed or something..

So it looks like Newegg actually charged my card and then cancelled the order without my approval, and haven't returned my money? :(

Nope - it's an NZ account. I ship to my US office, but I know it's definitely an NZ Paypal account as I've had some places reject it because it's a non-US account.

Hmm, I tried again and got the same message:

I added the product to the cart, chose standard shipping ($0.00), clicked on "Checkout via PayPal" and then pressed on OK on the PayPal page. Note that I didn't get a prompt anywhere to enter my YouShop address - should I have entered this under the "Shipping Address" option in the PayPal page? Because there was an option to edit it, but it wouldn't let me change the country from New Zealand..
