The Expendables... 4.5/10 for story, action (fight) scenes and explosions would be 8/10.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World

One of the absolute weirdest movies I've ever seen (example). But I still found it hilarious and recommend it to any gamer :P

Monsters - in one word: meh! The movie failed to grab me at the start and struggled to do so throughout. Did absolutely nothing for me...quite a let down...I give it 4/10...

Move along... nothing to see here...

The Girl Who Played With Fire

I saw the first film ( The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo ) and was pleasantly surprise by how much it drew me into the story.
The second film didn't disappoint either.
I would give it a solid 8/10 overall.

These films are pretty much the Swedish version of the Bourne films, and I would say they are just as good.
You eventually forget that you are even reading subtitles.

Now just got to go and see the third instalment - The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest - at the cinema in the coming weeks. Looking forward to it I must say.

It's 2:45 am and I just got home from watching the 12:05am screening of

TRON LEGACY in 3D at the Embassy theatre in Wellington.

As we watched the first Tron movie earlier today (for me 4th or 5th time for my kids 1st time) it was great to see how well they tied it all in. Which was great especially when you remember Tron was made back in 1982.

If you enjoyed the first movie then you would and should see this movie. I give it a 4 outta 5 i did feel however there was not enough 3D scenes but the ones they did have were done well.

Great Scott!

Watched Salt two days ago and found it very good. Lots of little twists. 7.5/10

I recommend it.

Recommend too...I haven't watched the original all the way through so I've made a point of finishing it prior to seeing Legacy.  What I have seen though is a mixed bag...but it really does seem quite cool for its time.

I would certainly recommend watching the original Tron before watching Tron Legacy. As stated above it really does a great job of linking the two movies.

Thing to remember when watching the first movie that it is 28 years old and special effects and computing have come a long long way since then hehe.

I would recommend probably watching both within a few days (if not the same day) of each other.

Tron Legacy - 8.5/10

Loved it! Just thought they could have elaborated more on the natives and the original world before they got wiped out

Watched The Town last night. Not too bad, a bit too much drama for what I thought the movie was going to be. 7/10.

Also watched The Good Guys last week. Had pretty low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Some scenes where they go too far but for a light hearted comedy I'd give it 7.5/10. Certainly not going to win any oscars though!
