gehenna: ...Then the movie started and the next 2 hours were a blur.  Such a sublime film, everyone should see this! Brilliantly acted, written and directed. I was heavily in support of The Social Network for best Oscar this year but after seeing this I have serious doubts.)

The King's Speech
Couldn't have said it better*. Film hugely exceeded my expectations and we left the theatre feeling that it was a couple of hours well spent. Magic, and 5 stars from me.

From Paris with Love - 7/10
Alright action movie with a twist, although I found it a little too goofy.

RED - Awesome movie, really enjoyed it. Lots of action, and looks really good in HD!

Unstoppable - Quite good as well, if you like trains I would recommend it

Black Swan. The movie was just absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend that everyone go see it, even if you aren't into ballet.

Also saw Beautiful Thing (1996); such a sweet and funny movie. Its a gay themed movie about 2 teen boys but its all in good taste, like, its not in your face, and you wouldn't even know they're gay. Which I like.

Both movies are 5 stars from me.

Just watched the movie "If..." (1968)

Worst.
Movie.
Ever.

If Hellen Keller wrote and acted out a movie entirely by herself, it would have been better than this. No joke.

Negative 5 stars

You haven't seen Eyes Wide Shut then? The fact that it was from one of my favourite directors attenuates the pungence of that stinker not one jot. Truly the worst movie ever made.

Cheers,

Agreed.  I think he just had a lifelong dream to make a porno.  And even then he missed the mark!

I strongly disagree... although it wasn't the best movie out there it was a good movie... the one you see only one time... nonetheless, it wasn't the worst movie ever...

@topic, "Matchstick man"... although I despise Nicolas Cage it was alright... I liked the ending... wasn't expecting that... nice one Ridley Scott

The King's Speech (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1504320/). Very good storytelling, 8.5/10 there.

True Grit - amazing movie, there is some truly cleaver dialogue and acting here. Easily top 3 Coen Brothers movies 9/10

Kings Speech - interesting and great acting. Colin Firth will no doubt win the oscar - wish it would go to Jeff Bridges for True Grit but they will make up for Firth not winning for A Single Man

True Grit is fantastic, only problem is some of Jeff Bridges dialogue is difficult to make out.

Even if you don't like trains, it's a good watch.  Fine acting which more than carries the non-existent story line.

Watched Gulliver's Travels the other night although nothing spectacular it's not a bad take on the old story. 6 out of 10.  If you don't like Jack Black then probably good idea to give this one a miss.
