Horrible Bosses

Enough chuckles, cringes and belly laughs to reward you for going, but a bit drawn out at times. Colin Farrell was a hoot. Jennifer Anniston can be my boss anytime. (If my wife asks, I never said that, OK?) Doesn't need the big screen so wait for the DVD.

Three and a half stars (7/10) from me.

Was very interesting - mind you, I am a fan of counter-factual history movies. Presented in a very thought provoking way framed as an external countries broadcaster doing the documentary about the CSA so well worth a watch

Dude, that must be a short list of films. I can't think of many. I have read a lot of alt history books. If you have the time (I've been reading it for four years) The Last War is amazing. It is an online novel written by some unknown genius. I can send you a link if you want.

Which counter-factual history movies would you recommend?

By the way CSA: The Confederate States of America just went to the top of my next film to watch list.

Well since I last posted I have a\watched

Bad Teacher with Cameron Diaz the movie itself was quite average but for those who think CD is still hot it had quite a few good laughs.

Finally bought a Bluray player for my HTPC and now have 3 movies watched 2 of them so far and I am impresed they were....

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp version) and the other was Underworld (the first one).

Although I still think that Bluray is not going to be as big as they had hoped it to be I can't believe I have managed to get back and buy a movie or 3.

Looking forward to the weekend when i watch The Hurt Locker which was my 3rd film I bought (seen it before and thought it was great).

Lizard1977: I watched The Experiment (2010) last night. It's a remake of the 2001 German film Das Experiment, which in itself is based on a book, which is inspired by the 1971 Stanford Prison Experiment. I give it a solid 8.5/10.

I much prefered the original to be honest. 8/10 worth a watch!

dpw: Saw Insidious this week - that pretty much describes the movie!

The acting is pretty bad in this. However I thought the idea of it was pretty good. I would give it a 6.32/10 just for the plot.

I can see this coming back at some stage in a bigger production.

Right so last night I watched Casino Jack. Seriously good movie with a well developed story. I am a bit of a Kevin Spacey fan though.

Limitless is the first movie I've watched in ages - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1219289/

Really enjoyed it, was easy to watch and digest with just enough quirks to keep it from being too predictable.  I could easily watch it again which is rare for me.

Fatherland is quite good - though the book is better :)

True Grit.
Great attitude from the characters. I need to watch the original though with John Wayne to compare. I was expecting to see him do that spin cock of his Winchester rifle that my dad told me about (he used to own one - a firing Winchester yellow boy from memory). Though I may be confused with another movie called "The rifleman" not sure. Either way. Enjoyed the movie.
