freitasm: The Call of Cthulu, a 2005 movie made in B&W, in the syle of the old 1920s silent movies. Very cool, 7.5/10.

I played the computer game Call of Cthulu based on H. P. Lovecraft's story,  back round 2005-2006 as well. Good game that stuck true to the story.  Didn't know there was a movie put out, might take a look.

'The Debt'  Good movie with a nice twist. 8/10

The Debt.

Interesting story, a couple of twists, but won't give it more than 7.5/10.

Ditto. Classic nod to Steve McQueen

A must buy for me on bluray upon release.

Recently been to see Arthur Christmas with the kids.

Surprisingly funny and with more than a few bits that were obviously for the grown ups.

Hereafter - Avoid. Just avoid. You will want to join the hereafter, after watching this movie. The story is so disjointed it isnt funny, and when things finally do start to click into place the movie ends. Even reviewers dont know what this movie is about, some say its a ghost story, some say its a docu-movie on different peoples views of death - its neither, its just rubbish. Matt Damon, can I have 2 hrs of my life back please ?

2/10 (the 2 is for the relief I felt when the credits rolled up)

Watched Our Idiot Brother last night... Not bad as a "feel good" movie. I give it 7/10 for the effort.

I thought Drive was quite good, I'd go as high as 8/10, 7.5 seems abit so-so..  I usually watch my movies according to RottenTomatoes.com I find they have really accurate ratings, unlike IMDB, who often rate movies higher than they really are...

Fortress of War (Brestskaya krepost) (2010)

Top WW2 movie, one of the best ive seen in years. About the Russians defending the Brest fortress against the invading Germans during WW2. First 23 minutes is slow peace time life then the Nazis invade and all hell breaks loose.

9.5/10

Our Idiot Brother - went in with low expectations and came out happily surprised. 7/10.

The InBetweeners Movie - I really like the series, but I think 20 odd mins at a time is about all I can stand. I'm giving it a generous 6.5.

Watched Moneyball the other night, very good movie, there is always something about a true story that makes it a good movie to watch.

Yeah, second that. If you are a sports fan you will like that movie. I'd give it an 8/10.

I watched The Inbetweeners and wasn't very impressed. A bit over the top in a few scenes and not that many funny bits, 3/10.

It is a good movie, but you do realise that Moneyball isnt released here at the cinema until the 9th February..

I watched happy feet 2 at the cinema the other day, i hadn't seen the first one but it didn't matter it was a decent enough movie. Some of the choices of music in the movie made me wonder though. My son enjoyed it too, he gave it a 9/10 but i wouldn't go that high myself Smile
