hey people, I was wondering in any one could shed light on a Vote of no confidence from? I would use one of this in a workplace to signify the fact that everyone under him, (ie him being the boss), and everyone being the workers, has no trust in the way he works?

allan: Want to try correcting the grammar and asking again. "Vote of no confidence from what"?

my guess was that was a typo and should have read 'vote of no confidence form'.  if so i'm still unsure as to what 'light' could be shed on this...  if your boss is doing a crap job, go to their boss and tell them.  if they are the only boss (i.e. your employer) then start thinking about a new job before you tell them they are doing a crap job.

I doubt there is any employment law that provides a facility for a 'vote of no confidence' in your employer but I doubt you can get fired legally for simply telling your boss you have no confidence in their ability.  Of course they will probably either (a) look to improve what they do, (b) seriously resent you and look for every opportunity to get rid of you or (c) not take you seriously and carry on as normal....

yeah sorry that was a typo, and was meant to read form.
thanks, i thought that might be the case, go to his boss, only problem, they both have a common last name, but we were hoping that they might be able to put this behind them, becasue at the end of the day, it is a buisness that needs to make money, not keep poeple happy.

How about a polite anonymous letter.  Take a few days to write it so it's well structured and factual rather than emotive.

Your full name is publicly viewable on your profile, and several people at your business have noticed the same thing, so your boss already knows, and is going to have you shuffled out. It will look like a redundancy.

A vote of no confidence? In what?

Thats the most preposterous thing I have heard relating to someones employment.

A business is not a democracy. It's not Survivor, or Big Brother - you cannot vote your boss off the island.

By the way - this is a joke, but it could sooooooo be true if you dont remove your last name from your profile.
