I live in aftershock land, and am the same.
I would say that I crapped myself on the 7.1 though >.<

Landed in Christchurch yesterday from Sydney and spent today sorting out mobile connection and a hire car.
Just experienced our very first aftershock which was very mild -a bit like being near a train line.
We have also noted a distinct lack of chimneys.

Take a drive though the central city especially Manchester St (before dark!!) and Colombo St and admire the distinct lack of buildings Tongue out
