Just because you don't agree with somebody's beliefs does not make them wrong (unless you have reasonable proof to prove them wrong). For instance, if I was too say something like "God like doesn't exist" (without backing it up somehow) I think we can all agree that I would banned almost instantly.

For instance, if I was too say something like "God like doesn't exist" (without backing it up somehow) I think we can all agree that I would banned almost instantly.

In theory you're correct.

In practise, I have some internal, subjective measure of idiocy that I'm happy to apply to my world view, in the full knowledge and acceptance that I'm not 100% certain about these things.

Flat Earthers, Birthers, these Haarpies and a few others have made my list, and _SO FAR_ I have had no reason to recalibrate my internal threshold.

Not because they don't agree with ME... If I held a minority view then calling people idiots for not agreeing with me would be illogical.

If some groups hold minority views, and the vast, VAST majority of people hold an opposing view supported by a great deal of research and science, then I think Political Correctness should be flung out the door.

Sometimes, people are actually idiots.

Unless you're telling me that the education system has it right, and we shouldn't use terms like "Fail" anymore, and "not yet achieved" is what we should call not passing a test.

I respect your statement. I will continue to believe that there isn't a massive conspiracy to modify the atmosphere and cause huge earthquakes in Christchurch through the technology described in that Patent.

I will also continue to believe that people subscribing to that belief are out of step with widely held opinions.
