Stop raining on my parade :-)
Awesome pictures dude - has it snowed there before ?

I've been in this area (Wellingon in Khandallah and Johnsonville) for the last 14 years. The first time I saw snow here was two weeks ago, but it didn't settle. This time it settled pretty much straight away yesterday, and today it did the same - actually still going. Today it is almost five hours since it started snowing and still going, so really something...

I think it's a samoyed, not a husky.

I go to school in New market and, personally, I think it was mainly sleet. There was a brief moment of snow but nothing was settling. I used to live in England and so this is the first time I had seen snow in 5 years. Very exciting!

Yes, I had a husky, back in Brazil. She was gorgeous, and loved being outside. And super clean dogs. Strong - very strong, both in will and in physical strength...

Plenty of snow on farm (behind Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast).  Shot up on the quad this afternoon to check stock but very hard to find!!  Hopefully all tucked away in gullies or in pockets of bush.  There are actually some sheep in the photo wandering around "grazing" but impossible to see in low res.
Hopefully it won't prompt any early lambs to drop.

A few more pictures from just now. The police has closed our road just after our driveway. It doesn't matter, someone abandoned his Toyota pickup so we can't drive out anyway:

What're you going to do tomorrow?

My power went out for most of tonight in Lower Hutt. hopefully stays on long enough to warm the place up. Not looking forward to work tomorrow.

Just staying home, again. Can't take Bella to preschool, seeing we are now locked with that truck in front of our driveway...

I've done a few time lapse videos of the weather turning to custard. Nothing special, just nasty clouds rolling in and snow accumulating over night. Will post when I've processed the still images.
