, Hitler was a democratically elected politician. Even after he had been in power for some time and almost 100% controlled the media etc, even then he never achieved a majority of the overall vote. This is the main reason the Allies set up a system of proportional representation (MMP) for Germany after the war, so there was no possibility a minority could ever govern like that again.
