This is the one side of Android I don't like due to the huge number of phones and software making widely supported apps takes a little longer and then there's the constant updating of these when a new device is added to the compatibility list. Then again I don't think I'd ever stream a movie to my phone anyway going from 50 inch to 4.3 is a hard act to swallow.

It was enabled to PC/Mac in mid November 2011, so mainstream availability of their service was around 7 months ago, or only 5 months before NZ launch. Pretty quick I think! Totally agree. Will be buying an iPhone early next year (when I have a job) purely for this reason.

Cancelled my subscription this evening. They did offer discounted rates for 3 months, but really there is nothing that I am interested in on there. Maybe I will be back when the content improves.

am I in the minority here. I have kept my subscription and enjoying it. I like the content and have been hoping to get through ones I like to see before they change content, But then there would be more I would like I guess and then the others would be back later. Thats if they do a rotation of titles HTPC AMD A4-5300 cpu, Gigabyte ga2fa75m-d3h motherboard, , 4GB DDR3 ram, onboard graphics. Hauppuage HVR 3300 tuner, Antec 2480B case, Windows 7 home premium 64 bit using media center

Thats if they do a rotation of titles I considered the selection to be mostly b-rate or worse. Searching for a particular movie on the PS3 was impossible and the warner bros movies had a stupid logo in the bottom corner.

Like how software developers for PC have to build software for thousands of different configurations or Apple have to build OSX for many different variations? Fragmentation is a new buzz word that some like to use. In the PC world: Developer A builds software for PC's of certain specs. Consumers with PCs that match the specs buy the software. Everyone else with low-end PCs understand why they can't run the software. In the mobile world: Developer A builds software for Android phones of certain specs. Consumers with Android phones that match the specs buy the software. Everyone else has a cry because they have cheap phones. Now I don't believe this is the case, but there is a small group of loud voices who make fragmentation appear to be a problem when in fact it is not. Geonet released their Android application half a year before iPhone, for one example. Regarding Quickflix, I'm still holding off till the content quality increases.

called and was going to cancel but the guy offered to suspend it for a month and assured me that there would be more stuff in a month. Also told me there was a samsung app which I cant find in the amazing selection of about 20 apps on the tv in the video category, and none are quickflix. Tried playing purple rain tonight before calling because it was a featured one. Looked and sounded horrid on the laptop HDMI to the TV. And stuff paying for things that have a bright white WBTV logo on them and actually look about as bad as some TV Rips do. If there is an app in a month, and I can sucessfully watch a HD movie without interuptions and in an acceptable picture quality and sound (so not artifact riddled low bitrate worse than freeview like stereo) I will keep it for another month and see how the selection goes. I'm waiting until it works on the ATV2/3, i know i can do it on my iPad and then stream it across but i would rather only use one device.
