Not too bad so far, although I'm still annoyed that there are songs that are shown but not available here. I know thats not really Spotify's fault, but the stupid geoblocking that contents right holders are so reluctant to remove. It also won't see my local iTunes library. I'm assuming this is because I access it via a symlink, as that is currently the easiest way I know of to share the library amongst multiple OSX user accounts.

JayTaicho: I think we get free premium for 2 days. And then can sign up for a free 30 days after that. But it seems no-ones credit card is working. Don't think they've got it all working yet. My ASB Visa Debit card worked fine

Songs wise it seems pretty good. Bit like Rdio when you search for something, sometimes its unavailable at the top of the list but if you scroll down it's there.

Spotify,Rdio or otherwise? How high are the bitrates for the audio and is transferring the songs possible to any MP3 player (I have a Sony Walkman but the Ipods seem to be the only players mentioned)

reven: downloaded app, went to sign up. says you must sign up with your facebook account. what the hell?? screw that, uninstalled. ill stick with rdio.com For those of us who won't use facebook, it's a no-go... And if spotify is owned by facebook, nice knowing you! *waves and finds/pays amazon etc...

How high are the bitrates for the audio From Wikipedia: "Audio streams are in the Vorbis format at q5 (approx. 160 kbit/s),[58] or optional q9 (approx. 320kbit/s)[59] for Premium subscribers."

I have a Facebook account that I never use. I logged in, set up Spotify, then deleted all Facebook cookies. As soon as I tried to play a song, "could not update status on Facebook". So it sounds like by default it tells all your Facebook contacts what you're listening to. Gives a new meaning to "spyware"... I found an option to turn that off, but it's on by default and it doesn't warn you during setup.

To be honest I think the Facebook tie up is a stroke of genius on behalf of Spotify (and Facebook). It makes it easy as to sign up and you have a MASSIVE database of Facebook users who will be recommending Spotify to other users. Awesome marketing. I think we will see more and more of this from software service providers.

After a day playing around with spotify it hadn't messed with my Facebook page at all! Then when I checked in this morning in had posted that I was listening to a track that had simply been returned in a search. Seems to be awfully glitchy!

Couple of questions about Spotify, if you use the 30 day free trial, once that is up, does it revert to the free version with ads, or are you stuck paying a subscription? Secondly, will a Prezzy card work with it if I did decide to keep the premium version? Apple: Have it their way Android: Have it your way

Trialing Spotify for now and have to say Im loving the unlimited Music,although havent tried it out on any other devices to see how the audio quality stacks up,too busy listening to stuff i havent heard for 20+ years on my laptops transistor-like speakers......freakn Wicked! Totally agree with you MyOpinion re. the connection with FB.Why wouldnt they do that? Potential customer base of Hundreds of Millions.... Im pretty sure you can turn off the posting,they just dont want to make it too easy to figure out Apparently spotify uses Digital Rights Management,which i've found in the past limits the Devices you can play the music on.If this is still the case then i wont continue with them

You have to supply credit card or Paypal details and the terms state that after 30 days your subscription will stay premium and you'll be charged the monthly amount. You need to cancel within the 30 days in order to not be charged and to revert to the standard plan. Not sure about a Prezzy card, it should do in theory. The android app could be better. No fb implementation like the ios version does.
