Has anyone used this?

Liking the concept but wanting to know if anyone has actually tried this. If it does work will save me a whole lot of time tagging all library individually.

There's a few apps around that do the same job, with varying levels of success. When they work, they work pretty well.

"You are" = "You're" - Not "Your".  "They are" = "They're" - Not "Their" or "There".  You probably mean "lose" not "loose".  There's no such word as "Alot".

Did a bit of reading on this a while ago, decided against it. As mentioned there are reports of it working well, but also read some horror stories where it completely screwed up peoples libraries.

I've found mp3tag to be useful. It's free. You do have to do a bit of searching for yourself... it's not completely automated... but if you know what you're doing it's quite powerful.

I used to use ID3 Tag & Rename - it's mostly manual but it does make the process _much_ easier. It'll try to identify albums and artwork for you based on various criteria.

I had a play with some under OS X a while back, didn't have much success and don't recall what they were called.

The thing that irritates me is that iTunes doesn't put _all_ of the tagging into the files but sticks it into its own internal database, so if you ever move the files off to another device, most of your changes get lost.

I used it and found it quite good. They have a pretty decent free trial last time I used it. It had a bit of trouble with most of my obscure DJ sets but that's fair enough & to be expected.

I have and still do use it. It works great in small batches of music. More than about 50 albums and it can get bogged down. It can also have trouble with obscure compilations so I'd recommend tagging them yourself.
