What is a matter with these people!? Grab non Muslim woman from war torn counties as sex slaves for their husbands. having said that its been done on both sides of the fence. King Solomon from the bible and the richest King back in that time had 700 wives and 300 concubines. But that was 2000+ yrs ago! There is a huge disconnect there somewhere. Almost a corruption of the spirit in so far as it allows both extreme piety....and savagry...at the same time inside the same mind.....with no apparent insight into the contradictions. To be fair, Christians were exactly the same for 95% of the history of Christianity....basically up until about 60 years ago....and arguably up to the present day as the piously religious George W Bush had no trouble lying about WMD to justify invading Iraq, resulting the deaths of over 100,000 people. People are strange. If you're not curious, your brain is already dying...if not dead. Religion, and the way it has been moulded and manipulated into its various forms over the centuries appears to be the cause for so much conlfict and controversy in the world. Or is it merely an excuse to incite the conflict and controversy?

It's all a matter of definition isn't it? Where we see slavery as having some form of embedded repression along with punishment, this view is not necessarily shared in other cultures. Similarly this line from the article used as supporting argument: .... for a decent man who has the means, who is overpowered by desire and who does not want to commit fornication, is to acquire ?concubine? or ?sex slave?. ....Now in my western mind 'fornication' is what it says it is, but clearly in the above context it has two different meanings, overpowered by desire or not!!

You know there is proof that Solomon existed so did King David and many other kings, just because they're mention in a book such as the bible doesn't always mean its a fairy story. but i bet you believe that we all came from apes and life was created from a big bang outta know where and from that big bang the basics enzymes of life was created.
