Hi There!

I know about 91ZM, 91.80 More, 97.4 Classic, The Breeze, What other popular radio stations are around with similar types of music?

Thanks in advance.

you asked for pop and pop music is marketed towards "teenage girls" so what can you expect?

I'd argue that point personally, but ok, anything else you can recommend?

Anyone know why MoreFM in Auckland doesn't offer RDS?

From what I've seen, most of the MediaWorks stations don't offer RDS, which is disappointing.

Classic Hits tells you what track is currently playing, which is handy when you haven't heard that particular track before.

I suggest you also check out The Rock and Hauraki if you get bored with the stations you have already mentioned.

Are you familiar with this site http://radiostationworld.com/locations/new_zealand/nzlrdloc.asp ?

Doesn't look like you have a lot of choice in Auckland, which is a surprise.

The ones I listen to (More FM, The Breeze, Radio Live) all have RDS in Wellington. It's a pity the firmware version on my car radio doesn't appear to support it even though it's promoted as a feature.

More FM does actually have a RDS station id - turned it back on about a month or so ago, after a long absence (was 1 of the first to use it)

The list at http://radiostationworld.com/locations/new_zealand/radio.asp?m=n~auc isn't quite up to date - Easy Mix on 98.2 is now Radio Sport (with a RDS id)

Another list is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_radio_stations_in_New_Zealand#Auckland_Stations

Listen to George FM.  That is getting more and more commercial (and poppy) by the day.  Disappointing...

Back when they were ZMFM and trying to get advertising, they were listing their target age range at 8-18 year olds. (The 8 I'm sure of, the 18 may have been lower, certainly not higher).

Judging by the execrable music the g/f listens too on ZM on occasion, I doubt the demographic has shifted much.

"You are" = "You're" - Not "Your".  "They are" = "They're" - Not "Their" or "There".  You probably mean "lose" not "loose".  There's no such word as "Alot".
