Wellington Geekzone folk, is anyone using a UPS that has been reporting under-voltage issues in the CBD since about 1545 hours today, Sunday 02 Dec?

My APC UPS has been reporting supply conditions as low as 160V AC and as high as 260V AC at approx. 1745 hours.

I've got all high load items (oil coloumn heaters) turned off and the power I am using has not exceeded 3.5KW/h during that time.

Granted, I am in an old 3 story Victorian style draughtbox but haven't had any problems like this before.

Just interested to see if anyone else has noticed problems in the Botanic Gardens/CBD area of Wellington.

It would be isolated to a single transformer, so I think you would have better luck checking with your neighbours rather than on here.

I was having wild voltage swings like that. Didnt bother anything since everything except heaters is 110-240V, it ended up being a dodgey neutral on the pole that they found when replacing the pole.

Thanks Richard, I'll have a bit of a recce outside and see if anything looks amiss.
Not that I'm expecting a large neon sign to be flashing over the problem device...
