I'm currently living somewhere for an uncertain length of time (might be only a week or two more, might be months more) and I'm getting sick of having to really watch mobile broadband data and not watch videos for instance (I've got 2degrees 12GB pack as my only internet connection at the moment).

What providers are there which will let me use just their broadband without a fixed term contract? (I don't think changing the landline provider is an option)

I might be about to answer my own question.... as I suspect I'm on telecom:

With all Telecom Broadband packages you have the option of choosing a no term contract. That means there's no minimum contract term, so if you decide you no longer need broadband, then just let us know - you can cancel it without paying any early disconnection fees. If you choose this option you just need to provide your own modem and pay your connection charges.

Sounds good, I shall have to try and see tomorrow if I can get the 120 gig plan.

You should be able to get it, but I think the connection fee is $99, plus a modem if you don't already have one.

100GB plan with nakedplus is only $113, or 150GB is $137.
They offer no term contract as well.

Oh and you can negotiate with their support team if you get them on the chat through the website :)

With Snap! you can move house for free, might be worth considering if you are going to need a connection for 12months+, just at different properties.

If you are only going to be there for a week or two, it would probably take that long to get connected?
