Hello Everyone,

There is/was a power outage starting at a guess a hour or two ago effecting Upper Queen Street and Symonds street.

There were 5 fire engines on Upper Queen street (just past Darcy St), and a strong smell of burnt material.

Traffic lights were out at Upper Queen/Newton gully, Symonds/Motorway offramp/Symonds St/K Road and police were directing traffic.

There were two fire engines but no noticable fire Outside the Langham just down from Symonds/K Road and one of the firemen said there was a fire in a power cable on Airdale street, and it cound take all day/night to fix. But who knows, he was not a power guy and I couldn't see any Vector workers on Airdale Street?

I cruised around on my red scooter, and there were office workers outside on the road outside a lot of buildings on Airdale Street (ICONZ Data Centre), Slingshot building Symonds St, the road on the other side of Airdale street that the Telecom exchange is between which goes up to City road.

My friend also told me power was out in the Slingshot Building. I assume all the data centers for the telco's had power backups but jump in if you know more.

So just thought I would share what I knew. I'm assuming I scooter-ed past many geekzoners outside having a puff waiting for the power to come back on lolz!
