Hey guys, I'm in the process of building my first PC (i5, 700W PSU) and am currently stuck on the graphics card option.
I'm looking at present at either Nvidia GTX 560's or ATI 7750.
The 560 is more expensive by around a $100 or more, so is the performance gain that much better for the money?
I will be looking at either SLI or crossfire in the future for S#$%s and giggles later on (the MOBO I'm getting can cope with it).
Essentially I'm after bang for buck, my gaming need at present is only SWTOR but that's not to say things won't change in the future.

Any suggestions or thoughts on my choice? or would I be better to save a buttload of cash and get something Nvidia 600 ange or 7900 range?

thanks
LMD

Those two cards arn't at all comparable, the gtx is far superior.

For an actual comparison check the hd7850 as it is about the same performance as the GTX560.

Either the GTX560 or a HD7850 will be ample for what you are wanting, with the added benefit of SLI/CFX in the future

out of the two ild choose the 560 by far.. just make sure you go for the TI ...

personally, i will never touch atis (or well amd now..) until they bother to do something decent for openGL. personally i do a long in openGL so going nivida is a no brainer

one of the games im on often even running with 2x 7850s is no match compared to my 460, they just cant provide the fps needed in openGL it seems... given the game itself needs alot of work on the engine with it not being up to par but still..

The GTX 560 TI is quite a bit more than the 560. Is the extra amount worth it or is the 560 a good card too

WOW, the 560 deals to it completely.
The 7850 look nice as well, but I'm iinclined (for no particular reason) to go with the 560.

thanks all for the advice, now to get bargain hunting on the interwebs :-)
