I'm trying to decide between these two graphics cards for my next build, I have a i5-3570k, asus extreme 4 mobo, corsair 750w psu etc etc.

I'll probably choose one of the "OC" editions depending on price, I want to buy local, not looking to import
so either the GTX660 or the HD7870

I'm spending ~$350

Thanks guys,

~Dylan

They're pretty similar.

7870 just pips the 660 in most benchmarks.

Pretty much go for whichever is cheapest, has the extra features you want or looks the best.

I'm considering the 660ti or the 7870 now, but not sure if spending the extra ~$100 or so on the 660ti is worth it. What do you reckon?

Have you also checked out EVGA's GTX660 SC?

$100 less than a Ti and not that far off in comparison.

It is an excellent mid-range card.

Yeah I had a look, but not that keen on it, even the pricing hasn't swayed me. I've just had previous experience with the Asus parts, and I'm very happy with the end-products so far, haven't had to deal with DOA parts, or their customer service at all, probably why I'm so happy with them!
Cheers,

The 7870 is better value atm because for some reason the GTX 660 Ti's are really over priced in NZ
