Listening over stereo now.. hilarious.. "I Can't hear you.." and suddenly the person is a lady... playing off the 'logmein.com' name too. What the hell is the noise in the background at their end? Are they watching the cricket? :-)

ZollyMonsta: Would have been a classic call. Unfortunately can't always make out what they are saying on the video?

I couldnt always make out what they were saying either with all that background noise and heavy accent, I know the audio quality could be better as my pocket camera was my quickest means of recording this scam call.

Haha

My brother got a phone call from these lovely people yesterday and had a conversation with them while he was on his exercise bike.

My parents got a call too but they thankfully know enough now days to just hang up.

Would they just be cold calling out of the white pages I have not been lucky enough to get a phone call and both phones in my house are not listed in the white pages?

Do you hear a riming tone when you answer?

It could be they have a pc calling random numbers and when the call gets answered it them transfers the call to one of the scanners.

My wife answered the call and said there was lots of background noise but no "riming" tone.

You do get the ringing tone, but they know your name so I don't think it's purely random.

The guy in the video is my friend "Joshua"!  These guys are awesome!

Ok my theory might be wrong
Are you listed in the whitepages? Maybe they Are going through the phonebook randomly.
We've not got a call from them, but we have an unlisted number.

I don't know.  We're with Orcon, so I thought maybe not but maybe we are.  I suppose I should have a look...

OK, yes, turns out we are in the Auckland book.  But we are not our local directory.  That's weird.
