I just found this. Very cool. Thought others might find it interesting too.

http://www.snag.gy

Also I am looking for a paid (or free) snipping tool replacement.

I need the following functions.

1) Sizeable Tool like the snipping tool uses so I can capture a window, screen, or any size in between
2) Attach to Email (Preferably configurable as attachment or embedded)
3) Multiple Captures with History and ability to email or paste anything in history
4) Clean Interface
5) Decent Support or Active Forum
6) Active Developed

Would be nice if you could paste directly to an online pastebin type location directly from the product.

Thanks in advance.

The best I've ever found has got to be Snagit. Very actively developed, keeps a history of all your snippings, has the ability to install "plugins" that let you upload your snaps in one click, lets you pick the "capture window" allowing you to capture a window, a part of a window, an entire screen, or even an entire web page (it will capture the entire scrollable region). Very clean interface- just hit print screen and select what you want to capture. Only downside is the price tag - but you didn't specify "cheap" :)

+1 for snagit. Price seems pretty reasonable to me. We used to use this at work, though new policy is to use the windows snipping tool, which is quite lacking in comparison.

Yah snagit seems the most polished of the stuff I have looked at, but $65 NZD is pretty damn pricey for a screen capture tool!

I had a look at greenshot, and also cropper and sharexmod none of which was quite what I wanted.

You could always use AlternativeTo to tell you what alternatives there are to Snagit... according to there, there are more than 20 options (Windows and Mac) so should be able to find an option that works for you.

Jing is a pretty good free option if you can compromise on some of your requirements (it's made by TechSmith as well, based on Snagit and Camtasia).
