Ive got 4 external hard drives which are all using my usb ports and im running out of space.

I will eventually look at investing into NAS but just wondering as a cheaper solution that is a USB hub going to work if i plug in multiple external hard drives?

You might run into speed problems. Also make sure those drive have their own power sources as USB Hubs usually don't provide enough to power a physical drive.

yeh they have their own power sources. do you think reading it would be an issue (ie watching movies/tv series)? i know writing would have a longer time than it is now.
