I sync my PPC regularly with my desktop. I've sequentially applied the XP DST patch, then Outlook Time Zone Update Tool and finally the DST2007FallUpdate.msi (as per http://www.microsoft.com/nz/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx#followsteps) yesterday and my PPC's still on pre-DST. In fact it's stuck on pre-DST: I can of course manually change the time on the PPC, but after syncing it returns to pre-DST (despite the desktop being on DST).

Most bizarrely, my appointments in Calendar on the PPC are of course an hour out as expected, but when I try to adjust them on the PPC, they show up at the right time (e.g. appointment supposed to be 1400, shows up as 1300 pn the PPC, but when I try to edit it on the PPC, shows up as 1400!).

Help!

"DST2007FallUpdate.msi" is the wrong patch for for WM5 (isn't it?) it is not the same file/CAB that I installed into my JasJam... i think you might have installed the wrong patch, and also, did you try "simulate" 1:59am 29/Sept changeover after the installation to see if it skipped over to 3am?

Good point chiefie, might have been the wrong patch (although the aforementioned website isn't specific about that) ... so which one did you use?

And no regretfully I didn't try simulating it.

You read the instructions that say at certain point to open Clock, change the timezone to something different, tap [OK], then change back to New Zealand? Did you do this?

If you didn't you have the problem you described.

Crap missed that step. Unfortunately doesn't seem to work now. Will have a play around. I could use Tongan time ... or wait until next week, when it looks like all my appointments are back on track again, which suggests my PPC is still running on old DST dates. Hmm.

Well after several random reinstalls and uninstalls of the WM DST Update patch and soft resets, it's fixed. Thanks Mauricio.
