My wife bought an HP rx3417 on Thursday and it is the mutt's nuts.

However, I was reading a lot of spces online about it and thety all list Terminal Server Client and installed software, but I can't for the life of me, find it anywhere on the device.

Does anyone else have a rx3000 series device and knows where I can find it?

As for the rx3417 itself, it is far far better than her previous Tungsten T3. Setup is eamless and ActiveSync whups the Palm syncing software.
Wifi is also way better for internet access than Bluetooth. BTW, if you can get your hands on the ZyDas USB Wifi adapters from DSE, the latest software has a Soft Access Point mode which makes setting up Wifi even easier!

It doesn't come with this device, but you can download Terminal Services Client from Microsoft.

Ahhhh I wondered that. Thanks for the link. Odd that they list it as included...... I suspect they just copied and pasted the standard software bundle from MS.

hi there..

please tell me how you like the RX3xxx? I am debating to get HX4700 or HX2750. had a look at h4100 too and looks ok. but i really like to get WM2003SE for landscape view.

One thing that i don't like is HX4700's mouse-like cursor or touchpad... how does that work? anyone care to share their experience with this feature?

Well it's my wife's iPaq firstly so she's had her mits on it most of the weekend...... but I must says I am impressed. Coming from a Palm T3, the difference is quite big. The biggest and most welcome thing has been the syncing between Outlook and the rx3417.

The built-in camera is ok doing 1280x960 resolution, but you need good light to get anything close to a decent picture.

Some people don't like the styling, but I think it's very clean and understated. Performance seems very good so far - it managed to stream video in full-screen over WiFi without a problem.

Bundled apps are good, although the iPaq Mobile Media package (Nevo media server thingy) isn't all that great. We have a had a few probs getting the iPaq to actually recopgnise the server.

Aside from that, I think the rx3417 is a very good PDA and well worth it.
