I have misplaced my case - I have used it only on the first day, but now I have no idea where it is. Usually I am quite good with stuff like this, keeping everything in their original boxes, but not this time :(

The Nokia Lumia 800 WHITE is now available from Vodafone NZ... The first 25 purchases online will receive a free Nokia Purity HD stereo handset as well :)

Was going to buy the white but was put off by the glossy finish. Ordered my black online.

By the way - in the shop a microsim is $20 - online it is free. Stupid

I have an XT Lumia 800 but my work SIM is with Vodafone so I am having coverage issues. Anyone with the opposite problem who wants to swap i.e. a Vodafone Lumia but an XT SIM?

I picked up a Nokia Lumia 710 about 2 weeks ago now, and have been loving it since.

I got it from Parallel Imported here in Hamilton, and acording to the box is a T-Mobile edition.

It was so simple to get up and running, pop in my 2Degrees Mobile Micro SIM and away i was going, no mucking around with network or APN settings!!

One interesting thing i found that came pre-installed with the phone was a program called Diagnostics.  I am not sure if it was  a T-Mobile based thing, or downloadable from the MarketPlace.  I haven't been able to find it on the 610's that work has for some of the other guys.

On that note, it doesnt have a T-Moble splash screen on startup, very nice :)

There were about 4 updates that were required on the phone when i got it, but it has been rock solid since.

I am a bit of a freak when it comes to screen protectors, it still has the factory protector on it, and the gel case that i picked up for it covers the little silver pull tab, so it will be on there for a long time yet.

A recent released app (Counters) is awesome, i am really enjoying the speed i can quickly check the number of minutes, txt and data i have left in a month, rather than logging into the 2DegreesMobile site each time.

Battery life is ok, but i am charging it each night for good measure, not much i can do about that, other than getting an upgraded mAh battery from someone like Mugen.

@jaymz

Check out the My2degrees app in the market place. It is a live tile and can be set to display all your remaining data/minutes/SMS & special rates. I love it.

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 1564 ~ i5-520M ~ 4.00GB RAM ~ 500GB SATA HDD ~ Win7 Home Premium x64

Dude, thanks!

I had seen it mentioned before, but there were a few bad reviews about it. I will have another look at it today.

I have been having a play with custom ringtones recently too :)

I got a Nokia Lumia 710 today. Very impressed so far but I'm not getting the 'Nokia Collection' in the Marketplace. I have run all the updates, including the 'Nokia Update'. I really want to get the 'Play To' and 'Camera Extras' apps. I found a barcode for the Camera Extras in another forum. This took me to Camera Extras in the Marketplace but it told me it wasn't available.

I don't have any reception at home, just running off wifi. Is it possible that I need to be connected to the network to get into the Nokia Apps?

Also, it's a Telecom branded handset but I am using 2degrees. I have a Telecom SIM too but as I say, zero reception here so not sure if that will make a difference.

Wait till tomorrow and it will magically start working

Or go into Xbox Live hub, wait for it to load

The go back and go to Marketplace again.

Ok, so I'm going to be losing my work iPhone 4S when I change jobs at the end of October.  I'm seeing this as an opportunity to give another platform a try (mainly because I want to go prepay stump and I don't want to stump up the full retail for my own iPhone).

I'm not a massive app user and I've found almost all of my iOS apps have a well-rated WP7 equivalent.  Plus, I could roll my own with the SDK if I had to.

What are your thoughts on the Lumia 710?  I see there are a few as-new ones going to TradeMe for a decent price.

Treat phones on Trade Me with suspicion.
