We all know about Morrowind and yes its still probably the best Elder Scrolls game to come out, i prefer this game over Skyrim.  Tho its a bit outdated in the graphics now but with mods we can get the game looking as good as todays games.  So i installed Morrowind on Thursday night and have been tweaking it since to get it to how i wanna play.

Must have mods:  both expansion needed for mods to work

Morrowind Overhaul Sounds and Graphics 2.0
http://morrowindoverhaul.rpgitalia.net/

Morrowind Rebirth 1.8
http://www.moddb.com/mods/morrowind-rebirth

Both mods completely ups the games graphics, sounds and towns, too much to mention some pictures from the mods below or plenty youtube vids to view of both mods.

Optional: Can all be found on the Nexus site http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/

Maps of Morrowind ( so you dont get lost but thats part of the epic ness of this game right, still running round for 5hrs trying to find a shrine, i was glad i found maps of morrowind.
Combat Redefined. ( gives 9 different combat moves, no more just thrashing your axe in one direction for ever)
Tyrael and Raven armor (eye candy stuff)

Tyrael Armor,  would have to be the best looking armor ive ever seen for Morrowind, comes in different color sets.

Oh and whats a game without the death star :)

Cool post! Thanks for listing the mods. I got bored with and never finished Oblivion and have hit the same point of getting bored with Skyrim. Morrowind is the one game of that series that I've played repeatedly so its good to know that, with mods, it can still be satisfying now.

^Your welcome.

Just make sure you install the Nexus mod manager (found on the nexus site) it makes it so much easy to add the mods in the game, that's if you intend on adding other mods as well, apart from the main two i mention above they dont need mod manager they have their own install.exe where its pretty straight forward you just have to tick a few boxes to what you want added and it will do the rest.

Nexus mod manager can also be use for Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout Vegas, Oblivion & World of Tanks

The Morrowind Overhaul Sounds and Graphics 2.0 does not need a super computer to run but the Morrowind Rebirth 1.8 does as it populates the towns / cities with more npc's walking round and adds heaps more buildings.

My pc isn't anything great

Intel dual core @2.0 two processors
4gigs ram
Windows 7 Ultimate edition 64bit
9800gtx 512mb ram video card

Morrowind Rebirth causes a bit of lag when i enter a town.

The cool thing about this is I am playing both games Morrowind and Skyrim, I was in skyrim the other night and came across a book that mentions a character in Morrowind and his adventures then i realize hey i did that quest for that guy in Morrowind! or a book would mention certain things that happened in Morrowind that i witness it happening when i was in morrowind. I've come across that a lot when reading the books in Skyrim that are about Morrowind. Kinda like i am time traveling. lol

I am the opposite i finished the main story in Skyrim in the first week then just kept playing all the side quests ever since. But have never manage to finish Morrowind i would always get sidetracked and go off playing some other game.

When Skyrim gets boring i start adding mods to make the game play harder or just more interesting with the nice stuff like new villages or other gear sets etc.,

Skyrim mods i use  - all found on Nexus site
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/

Pride of Lions  - 49 prides roam around skyrim in groups of 4 -7. No longer a walk in the park. If your a low level, run! They will kill you in 2 seconds.

Wandering Nazgul - Nine Nazgul from LOTR are in Skyrim bent on killing you.  They're tough and will find you sooner or later.  Kill the witch king Nazgul and you get some nice gear drops.  Ive come across 3 of them not at once they roam alone with their horse who will also attack you. They drop nice gear for mages.

Stronger foes - more elite enemies.

Monster mod - Monsters roam skyrim attacking anything in its path, you really have to be careful if you like trekking in the wilds like i do. Just a simple journey on horseback can take a long time. Im fighting undead, small dragons on foot, wizards, huge crazy spiders, witches in groups that one shot you etc. lol. Its hell out there!

Grytewake legend - Very cool quest mod where you end up owning a viking ship as your home that you can move to any city where there is water near,  and the main character in the quest becomes yur companion and a merchant.

Four New Dragons. - 4  dragons that are a bit more tougher than the norm with one that suppose to be near impossible to kill, all have names from World of Warcraft well known dragons. Not to hard to figure out the mod was made by a WoW player.  Ive manage to kill two so far.

Morrowloot - The Loot system is like how Morrowind was. This mod will make smithing harder no more will you be able to lvl your smithing up so you can smith all those epic gear sets, it takes it away. And there is only one Daedric Armor set! That you have to find the pieces  scattered around skyrim meaning you have to go out there and find the gear it could be anywhere behind a rock etc :).  Drops from mobs/bosses will no longer have good gear no sir ree you have to work for it.

Elevenwood - a village up in the trees with elf's! . Pretty cool

Armor sets (disable morrowloot to use armor mods) the best for me are Hegde knight Armor, Warchief armor and Vagabond armor all made by the same guy - see his videos down the page - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13961

Colored Map markers ( changes the arrow & city colors on the map)

Clear maps - takes away the fog on the map and adds all the roads.

SkyUI - changes the UI, inventory to be more manageable especially if you have a full inventory with whatnots and you need to look for say a particular potion or weapon etc, just type in potions in the UI search and all potions will show up that you have.
