Just wondering if anyone else saw this appear on their xbox homescreen, for silver members. I tried to get this, as I am just a silver member, but it never gives you an option for the free 4 day membership. It only gives the option for 1 3 and 12 months. Anyone else tried to get this?

This was only available for the last weekend that just went by.

Yeap, I tried it on friday, saturday and sunday, and it didn't work on any of those days. Also it says it ends on the 4th which is tommorrow.

4 days? what is the point in such a weak offer? imagine if ISPs tried to win you over by advertising 'first 4 days free'.

It's working for me, right now. I didn't have to choose anything; my account simply has Gold access (I tested this by opening the Quickflix app and unlike last time I tried it, it actually works now and doesn't ask me whether I want to subscribe to Gold).

Yeap weak offer, only saw it as I was using the xbox over the weekend for a few videos. But it is even weaker/or misleading, if the offer didn't even work, as it said it applied to NZ silver users. Wanted to try out a few of the new features though, such as IE10 Might give them a call about it if I have some free time.

Thanks, it doesn't  work for me at all. Tried to load IE, and it said I needed a gold membership to use it.

Just tried it again with youtube, and it is giving access. So it must only be IE that doesn't work. Says you need a gold memebership to use it. Guess Microsoft have a bug in their systems.

Update: Phoned xbox...frustrating difficult to understand them due to accepnt... but eventually got the answer. They currently have problem with some apps on xbox including IE, which started before this promotion started. Great time to run a promotion microsoft, I guess they won't be extending the promotion which I think is poor if some apps aren't available.

The version of IE on the Xbox is actually not based on the IE10 engine.  Sadly, it's closer to IE6.

It's based on IE9 which is million miles ahead of IE6

I was broken during the promotion so I didn't get to try it out. Would have been interesting just to try it out. I suspect it wouldn't work with flash due to the xboxs limited processing power.
