Having trouble with Steam, and the website support hasn't given me much help.

Tried to open Steam today, it updated - and finished the update as far as I know.

But when it tries to connect, it will say its connecting to my account but doesn't do anything else.

And then it will say Steam (Not Responding) in the bar.

I have double checked my firewall, and have re-allowed permissions for steam.

So... I have no idea what to do, everything is the same as it was last time I used it - except the update, but I checked and the update was for things relating to a bug in a game Steam sells.

Any advice?? :P

Cloudmelon, try just letting Steam sit around for an hour. It's probably trying to update itself, but it tends to do a poor job of letting you know (freezing, unresponsive if you touch it, etc). But it should come right.

OK, so I let it sit for a while, and it sorted itself out, unsure why this happened...

Thanks for the advice guys :)
