Does any one know why the firefox usage meter appears to be days behind on the latest version?

Mine shows the last update to be @ 25/10 12:45 (3 days ago)

I have a PC still running the old version, and it appears to be correct.

Interesting, someone at work just complained that his usage meter was showing 75% but his speed slowed down to 50kbps.  Turned out he had gone over his cap.  So no, I do not have an answer, but can confirm that it is not just your PC.

Grrrrr.... all weekend my meter has been sitting on 14% (give myself 2gb) used which i thought was fair enough because Ive been away on holiday and now today its shot up to 48% used and the date is still on the 25th.
Ill be comparing data meters at the end of this month.... I run one locally myself to give me a rough idea if ones way out of whack.

The on-line traffic meter (XNet -> My Stuff -> Account) is up to date and probably the most reliable.
