I have Xnet fusion and VFX through a PAP2T.
Recently there have been issues with some calls cutting out, and I'm not sure what the problem could be.
When it happens the line goes dead, with no other sound. The phone still thinks the call is in progress, with its timer still counting so I do not believe it to be an issue with the phone, but rather an issue with either the ATA or something further upstream.

Has anyone else had issues similar to this, or have any ideas on how to pinpoint the point of failure?

It sounds like the pap2t is losing its link to the modem/router.
Do you notice if you modems IP changes when this happens ? This would indicate a loss of net link which would also cause this symptom.

It will be either of these 2, loss of link to modem/router or loss of net link. Give our helpdesk guys a call and they should be able to identify which it is.

Both the router and the ATA have static IPs. The internet isn't disconnecting during the calls, either.
Edit: The ATA is still getting its IP through DHCP, but the router is set to always give it the same one with static DHCP.

Try a different power supply especially if the ATA has been powered up for a few years.
