In the process of upgrading both out modem and my wifi dongle on the PC and wondered if anybody had any reccomendations for a good stable wireless adaptor for my PC. I'm currently using the linsys AE1200 which is absolute rubbish and continually drops the connection.
I was thinking this : when it comes back instock but am open to suggestions if there are better options. The PC is housed a few walls away from the modem (intestingly my old toshiba laptop never dropped connection and no one else's ever does).

I have one of these and it has been excellent.
Im upstairs above the router and always have full signal and have never had a dropped connection.

They also have a dual antenna one which I have not tested.

I have recently upgraded to the Netgear N900 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter ( - I can highly recommend this USB adapter - great performance and range.
